Resilience First, the world’s largest global business network with a mission to advance resilience best practice, is delighted to announce a partnership with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce (GMCC).

As the largest accredited Chamber of Commerce in the UK, with over 4,500 members, we look forward to working with the GMCC to drive resilience and sustainability best practice across the UK regions’ business communities.

The pandemic and climate change has highlighted that we live in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) global environment, where systemic risks may pervade and others may penetrate affecting a business’s ability to function with little or no warning.  This in turn can lead to strains and stresses on the communities that depend on those businesses.

Therefore, as resilience becomes a recognised priority, we look forward to collaborating with the GMCC to share and co-create resilience best practice solutions and frameworks for mutual benefit and that of society.

Michael Rooney, CEO, Resilience First
