Resilience First and its members are setting the standard for resilience leadership in the private sector, working together to ensure businesses can better withstand shocks and stressors. As a global network, Resilience First has participated and engaged with a number of high-level global campaigns and initiatives, bringing the perspectives of businesses and resilience leaders to the table. Through their participation in Resilience First, members gain access to a global community of innovators and previously untapped opportunities to reach new audiences and expand the impact of their work.  

These global campaigns and initiatives include: 

  • The Engineering Leadership Group 
    The Engineering Leadership Group (ELG) is a joint initiative of Resilience First and the International Coalition for Sustainable Infrastructure. The ELG captures the voice of global engineering-inclusive organisations committed to advancing infrastructure sustainability, resilience and climate action through global advocacy and targeting the most critical international decision-making bodies considering the future of the built and natural environment.   • The UNFCCC’s Race to Resilience, led by the High-Level Climate Champions for Climate Action   
    Resilience First is proud to be a partner initiative for the UNFCCC’s Race to Resilience global campaign, the sibling campaign of Race to Zero. The Race to Resilience campaign focuses on helping frontline communities build resilience and adapt to the impacts of climate change, such as extreme heat, drought, flooding, and sea-level rise. Resilience First offers our members the unique opportunity to become recognised leaders in contributing to a better, safer world, through our partnership with this campaign. Read more.

    Resilience First was part of a unique collaboration that co-created the Summary for Urban Policymakers (SUP) series, presenting the latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) AR6 Assessment Reports in accessible and targeted summaries that can help inform climate action at the city scale.
