4 June 2019

This briefing and dinner will address the issue of keeping the land-side communities of airports and airfields resilient in the face of potential shocks and stresses. With the intrusion by drones at two major UK airports coupled with the collapse of airlines like Monarch and Flybmi as recent examples of the challenges to the airline industry, then it is appropriate and timely to hear from two people at the centre of ensuring our airports and airfields are kept working and regulated, whatever the challenges might be.

The briefing will mark the launch of Resilience First’s work on airport community resilience.

Speakers

Air Vice-Marshal Ian Duguid OBE, Air Officer Commanding, 11 Group RAF

Dame Deidre Hutton, Chair, Civil Aviation Authority
