Webinar: 20 May 2021, 3pm to 4pm BST

A community’s connection to place is at the very heart of resilience and placemaking can play a crucial role in building upon this, ensuring the place is safeguarded and prepared for possible disruptions. Placemaking is a multi-faceted approach to the planning, design and management of public spaces and town centres. There are many examples and learnings from abroad where placemaking and community engagement have helped to deliver resilient places and cities.

At this briefing we will explore these learnings and what more can be done to ensure our towns and cities are better prepared to meet future shocks and stresses.
