We are delighted to be joined by General Sir Richard Barrons KCB CBE, former Commander of Joint Forces Command, co-author of the UK’s Strategic Defence Review and Co-Chair at Universal Defence and Security Solutions, as our Keynote Speaker at our Autumn Reception 2025.
General Sir Richard Barrons KCB CBE was one of the leaders of the UK Prime Minister’s 2025 Strategic Defence Review. Previously he served as Commander Joint Forces Command, one of the six ‘Chiefs of Staff’ leading the UK Armed Forces, 2013-2016. His military career began as an artillery officer and included the last decade of the Cold War, leadership from Captain to General on military operations in Bosnia, Kosovo, Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan, and serving as the Director of all UK military operations as Lieutenant General.
This year’s Autumn Reception, supported by Serco, will focus on:
- The latest National Security Review and Strategic Defence Review and why there is a need to build the resilience of the UK amidst a rapidly changing technological and geopolitical environment
- How the private sector can support the UK’s resilience priorities
