Thursday 30 April, 18:00-20:30 BST, Central London

Join us and the Resilience First community for our Spring Reception networking event, kindly supported by Everbridge, on Thursday 30 April, 18:00-20:30 BST, in Central London.

The environment in which organisations operate has irrevocably changed. Rapid technological developments, from drones to AI, alongside shifts in political leadership and international security, are creating significant new challenges.

Under the theme The world as it is: Resilience in 2026, we will explore the key geopolitical dynamics and hybrid warfare threats that pose the greatest risk to organisations. Building on the Geostrategic Resilience programme Resilience First has run since 2024, we will examine what the UK, and the businesses that operate here, can learn from other countries to proactively strengthen organisational and national resilience.

Alongside refreshments and networking with peers from across our community, we are delighted to welcome Elisabeth Braw, a leading expert on hybrid warfare, national preparedness and resilience, as our keynote speaker. Elisabeth is a senior fellow with the Atlantic Council’s Transatlantic Security Initiative in the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security. A columnist for Foreign Policy and Politico Europe, she also writes for the Financial Times, The Times and The Guardian. She leads the Transatlantic Security Initiative’s “Threats to the global maritime order” project and has published numerous books, including the award-winning Goodbye, Globalization: The Return of a Divided World (2024), The Defender’s Dilemma: Identifying and Deterring Gray-Zone Aggression (2022), and God’s Spies (2019). She is also the author of the upcoming book The Undersea War.
