Tuesday 27 June 2023, 8am to 9:30am BST, London

The Engineering Leadership Group (ELG) is delighted to announce that it is part of London Climate Action Week 2023.

Without intervention to improve resilience to physical climate risks such as drought, heatwaves, floods and storms, we will not be able to achieve a fair and just transition to a resilient, low carbon world. Action to improve resilience is not happening fast enough, leading to a decline in the social and economic benefits that infrastructure provides and a rise in the costs associated with damage and deteriorating performance.

Join our panel discussion, in collaboration with Mott MacDonald, on Tuesday 27 June, from 8:00 to 9:30, at University College London (Roberts Building, Torrington Place, London, WC1E 7JE), where we will explore how improvements to policy, regulations and standards can drive resilience of critical infrastructure to climate change.

Chaired by Madeleine Rawlins, Global Climate Change Practice Leader, Mott MacDonald, the panel will include key industry figures such as Keith Howells, President of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Danielle Boyd, Head of Climate Strategy Implementation, Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change and Denise Bower OBE, Group Executive Board Director, Mott MacDonald. Other panellists will be announced soon.
