The stresses and strains of modern life can affect many of us. To be caught up in major incidents can affect individuals for years or lifetimes, and impact on organisations and communities for generations. Post-traumatic stress disorder is now a widely recognised term, affecting not just soldiers returning from combat zones. It can and does affect people at home and at work.
Businesses can do a great deal to help employees and communities prepare for and recover from major trauma. To do so has many benefits by not just reducing the immediate impact on people and families should an incident arise but also helping staff to return to work.

Jonathan Duckworth, Chair, Paddington Survivors’ Group
Patrick Rea, PR and Campaign Director, PTSD Resolution
