Various nations and regions have different approaches to making their urban landscapes more resilient to changing circumstances. Those with coastal cities face the dangers of sea-level rise, while those that are land-locked face growing heat islands: all have to contend with urban waste and traffic pollution. These challenges demand new solutions and require modified infrastructures, whether these involve more EV charging points or better sustainable drainage systems. Technology will greatly help but other, non-technical remedies will also be required.
This webinar will look at different solutions to the same problems but in different geographical settings. Delivering robust net-zero infrastructure solutions and generating a circular, resilient, sustainable economy that focuses on sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products for as long as possible will help tackle our global challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss, and waste. Speakers from around the world will reveal a diversity of views and approaches to this vitally important subject.
