This session is part of the London Business Networks for Resilience programme, supported by the London Resilience Unit.
Small businesses are facing challenges from staff shortages, rising costs, crime, and local disruption. This event will explore how businesses can strengthen their day-to-day resilience by supporting their workforce, improving physical security, and working more closely with local partners.
With contributions from Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), policing, resilience and security professionals, we will explore how workforce challenges impact business continuity, share practical ways to improve workplace safety and security, and highlight how BIDs and business networks support small businesses on the ground, drawing out lessons that can be applied across London’s business communities.
We will also introduce simple Workforce Resilience Indicators and the Resilience Maturity Assessment (ReMA), two practical tools to help organisations understand and strengthen their resilience.
