Wednesday 17 January 2024, 7pm for 7.45pm to 9pm, London

Resilience First is pleased to convene our senior executive members for a roundtable dinner discussion with the Rt Hon Tobias Ellwood MP on the theme of bridging the gap between regulation and the exponential pace of private sector innovation.

At Resilience First’s recent International Risk and Resilience Conference, held at the International Security Expo, Mr Ellwood talked about how the Online Safety Bill was still going through parliament when Facebook (now known as Meta) was launched in 2004.  It has been well-documented that regulation and innovation need to go hand in hand to avoid cybercrime and data fraud, for example, from reaching epic proportions that eventually wears down businesses and societies trusts in the fabric of the internet.

As our world becomes even more faster, complex and interconnected, and the need to be more resilient becomes more prevalent, how can public and private sector entities collaborate more timely alongside each other to ensure a safe, secure and resilient world.

Co-hosted by Arup and CIS Security, this dinner is by invitation only. For more information, please contact Beena Chester on bchester@resiliencefirst.org
