Fires in business premises are thankfully not common. However, we always need to be prepared for the unthinkable.
But – as with all things resilience – it isn’t just the incident itself you need to prepare for. Indeed, it is not just your premises, or even just buildings, that can burn. Resilience First recently worked with colleagues at the Fire Protection Association to look at what businesses need to do to build resilience to shocks such as fires. As we discover, being prepared and being resilient means a much deeper dive into the wider consequences of a fire and the many interdependencies that all businesses have.
