Strengthen your organisation’s resilience in a disruptive world
Geoeconomic confrontation and geopolitical shifts can have immediate and severe impacts on companies’ operations, finance and workforce, often requiring rapid adaptation of strategy and business models.
For 2026 Resilience First’s Geostrategic Resilience Programme will address Hybrid Warfare and Operational Sovereignty.
The programme will move organisations beyond awareness to readiness. It will focus on understanding a hybrid warfare environment and the actions they can take to build their resilience while also contributing to a wider whole‑of‑society response to hybrid threats.
Delivered through a series of expert-led webinars and an immersive in-person wargaming workshop, the programme will equip you with the insights and strategies you need to assess and strengthen your organisation’s resilience in the face of geopolitical shifts and hybrid threats.
Why it matters
Over the past ten years, there has been growing concern and official recognition that the UK and many Western European nations are operating in a persistent state of hybrid warfare. This ‘grey zone’ is characterised by activity that unfolds below the threshold of conventional armed conflict, blending cyber activity, disinformation, economic pressure and disruption to critical systems. Rather than targeting territory, these attacks undermine confidence, trust and the availability of essential service businesses and societies rely on.
Businesses operating in the UK and Western Europe are both direct targets of hybrid activity and can be indirectly impacted through supply chain shocks, workforce challenges, disruption to essential services, reputational risk and regulatory uncertainty.
At the same time, businesses have a vital role in building national resilience. With 80–90% of Critical National Infrastructure assets held by the private sector, organisational preparedness, crisis leadership and cross-sector collaboration are central to the UK’s ability to withstand sustained pressure.
Through this programme, Resilience First aims to bridge the gap between geopolitical risk and corporate resilience. Drawing on case studies from Northern and Eastern Europe and experts in the subject of hybrid warfare and proactive response, the programme will delve into the hybrid activity affecting Europe and the UK, explain how it intersects with cyber risk, supply chains, workforce and reputation, and teach how to integrate these threats into actionable steps to strengthen organisational and societal resilience.
