Building Resilience Together

Resilience First is the premier, not-for-profit, business network setting the standard for organisational resilience, supporting a safe, secure and sustainable future.

Our membership model is what sets us apart. It creates opportunities to share knowledge, innovate and learn, through cross-sector working groups, dialogues and events. Guided by our Members Advisory Group, our programmes address the challenges our members face, ensuring our agenda remains relevant and impactful. In doing so, we position resilience as a core organisational strength that underpins sustainable growth.

This unique level of engagement and co-creation makes us a credible partner to local and national government, as well as academia. Our mission is to strengthen the resilience of our members while contributing to society’s wider resilience through a ‘whole of system’ and ‘whole of society’ approach.

Since its foundation in 2018, we have built and maintained a network of over 500 organisations across all facets of the private and public sectors.

Our membership

Resilience First focuses on the practical application of resilience across organisations. We curate leading research, papers and case studies that form part of our members’ knowledge base.

Resilience First has two forms of membership: Subscriber (no cost: provides access to a limited number of open events as well as our regular newsletter) and Member (annual membership fee:  provides access to member-only events, access to our knowledge-base and other benefits related to our Partners. Learn more and discover the benefits here.

Resilience First also welcomes Sponsor funding for our programmes and events. This can be for a one-off event, or a series of events and co-collaboration activities in support of the practical application of resilience. Sponsor funding level is dependent on the event or programme to be delivered.

Model for Organisational Resilience

At the core of our work is the Model for Organisational Resilience, based on BS 65000 Code of Practice for Organisational Resilience and developed in conjunction with Cranfield University, School of Management.

This Model drives a measurement-led approach to organisational resilience, supporting capacity and capability building. We provide practical case studies and tools to help our members adopt and adapt them for their organisation. We pride ourselves on being a ‘do tank’ for businesses, emphasising practical use cases and applications.
